The Basics - Getting Started
|
The first thing you need to do is to go to the Templates page and choose the style template that you like most. This will be our starting point.
This is very much a 'starting point' because we can very quickly change any aspects of the design, including the colours, fonts and images as we build your web site to your specifications.
|
Our Standard Templates largely follow the same format and have five basic pages; these pages are for demonstration purposes only.
You need to decide for yourself what pages you want on your web site and to help you with your decision please view the separate 'Your Web Pages' section.

You will be required to register a domain name, if you have not already done so, from which your web site will be run when it is completed.
In order to do so you need to choose a name and extension that is not currently registered. For example 'yourname.com' might already be registered by someone else, in which case you will need to rethink.
There are now hundreds of different extensions, .com, .ie, .org for example. The fact that someone has already registered the domain 'yourname.com' will not prevent you from registering 'yourname.net', unless that separate domain name has also been registered.
